Part of one of Dan’s many Armies on Parade entries.

Dan Harden, from the White Dwarf team, is a long time enthusiast of Armies on Parade, and has entered every year since its inception. Here’s what he has to say about the competition.

“Armies on Parade is an excellent opportunity to really push your modelling and painting skills and create an army that you can be proud of, whether you display it in a cabinet for all to admire, or play games with it on the battlefield. Over the years I’ve found that Armies on Parade is a great way to start a new collection, which you can then build on and add to for years to come. It’s also a fun way to try your hand at scenery-building, creating a board that complements and enhances the army displayed on it.

Lastly, and one of the main reasons I love taking part in Armies on Parade, is that it doesn’t matter whether you’re a top-level painter or completely new to the hobby, because it’s not a winner-takes-all competition, but more of a personal challenge – can you paint an army in 12 weeks? Now’s your chance to find out!”
