With Armies on Parade fast approaching, we’re taking a look at an incredible Dark Angels army, painted by Stefano Paduano from the Warhammer store in Monza.
At the centre of Stefano’s diorama is a huge, glowing Dark Angels symbol. It gives the impression that the Deathwing have convened at a secret location to enact a ritual – perhaps some kind of initiation ceremony.
Here’s a closer look at the Dark Angels icon crafted onto the board.
Assuming pride of place on the uppermost tier are the Deathwing Command Squad, featuring an Apothecary.
Prominently displayed with them is Grand Master Belial. The magnificence of his paint job matches his importance as commander of the Deathwing and bearer of the Sword of Silence.
If you look closely, you’ll see that the power fields of the Deathwing’s weapons are all active, with their blue glow mirroring the colour of the Dark Angels Chapter icon at the heart of the display board.
Stefano has also spent a lot of time on the bases of the models, ensuring that the rocks that they stand on match the board’s outcrops.
It’s not too late to start your own entry for Armies on Parade, and if you’re inspired to start a Deathwing army then the Deathwing Terminator Squad is a great place to start.
