Armies on Parade 2020: Terms & Conditions

2.1. Entry is free. No purchase necessary to enter or win.
2.2. Only one entry may be submitted per entrant. Additional entries will be discounted.
2.3. Entries must be received by GW between 13:00 (GMT) on Monday 2 nd November 2020 and 23:59 (GMT) on Sunday 29 th November 2020 to be counted. Late entries will not be accepted.
2.4. To enter, send photographs of your entry to: email@example.com. You must include: your full name; country and state/region of residence; and the game system relating to your entry (e.g. Warhammer Age of Sigmar/Warhammer 40,000). Entrants are advised to submit between 5 and 8 photographs, to provide a well-rounded view of the entry.
2.5. There will be 3 major categories (‘Best of Warhammer 40,000’; ‘Best of Warhammer Age of Sigmar’; and ‘Best of the Rest’) with 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd place for each major category.
2.6. There will be approximately 6 minor categories, with 1 winner per minor category.
2.7. GW accepts no responsibility for any entries which for any reason are not received by GW, including due to any error in technical functionality.
2.8. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions,
GW may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition.
2.9. GW reserves the right to reject a photograph of an entry and exclude it from the judging process at its discretion (for example, if the image is blurred, pixelated or contains something other than the entry).
2.10. GW reserves the right to vary any of these Terms and Conditions, postpone or cancel
the competition at any time without notice. In such event, GW will make reasonable efforts to communicate any change to entrants.

3.1. The competition is open to persons of age 12 years and over. Entries from persons under 16 years of age must be submitted by a parent or guardian on behalf of the entrant.
3.2. Entries from employees of GW, their families, agents or any other person connected with the administration of the competition will not be considered.
3.3. The competition is open to residents worldwide, excluding Quebec.
3.4. GW will only accept competition entries that conform to the following rules:
3.4.1. painted miniatures must exclusively consist of Citadel and/or Forge World products;
3.4.2. the display must fit within a board with base dimensions of 2’ x 2’ or 22 x 30 inches;
3.4.3. the army must not mix GW settings;
3.4.4. any miniature customisation must exclusively comprise Citadel/Forge World bits or parts only; and
3.4.5. entries must have been wholly painted by you.
3.5. A board, if used, can be made of any appropriate material, provided that what is displayed on top comprises strictly Citadel and/or Forge World products.
3.6. GW will accept entries which are mounted on a presentational plinth, subject to adhering to the dimensions stipulated in clause 3.4.2.
3.7. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries submitted on behalf of another person will not be accepted (subject to clause 3.1) and joint submissions are not allowed.
3.8. GW reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit of intention of the competition.
3.9. For any questions about the competition, or help with understanding which miniatures will be accepted, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
4.1. All valid entries will be reviewed and judged by a panel of judges, comprising members of GW staff and one independent judge unconnected to GW. The judges shall select the entries which best satisfy the judging criteria. The judging criteria shall be as follows: cohesiveness of the display theme; originality and creativity; conversion skill; and painting finesse.
4.2. There will be 9 winners in total across the 3 major categories (comprising 1st , 2nd and 3rd place
4.3. There will be 1 winner per minor category with approximately 6 minor categories.
4.4. Decisions of the judges shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received, the quality of the entries and each entrant’s ability to provide the winning criteria.
5. Prize Details
5.1. Major category winners will receive:
5.1.1. one (1) trophy; and
5.1.2. one (1) Start Collecting! or Combat Patrol box of their choice (choice is subject to stock availability). The range of Start Collecting! and Combat Patrol boxes can be browsed on the GW web store (www.games-workshop.com). The value of each Start Collecting! and Combat Patrol box ranges from £50 to £85 (or local currency equivalent) depending on the specific product.
5.2. Minor category winners will receive:
5.2.1. one (1) medal; and
5.2.2. one (1) Start Collecting! or Combat Patrol box of their choice (choice is subject to stock availability). The range of Start Collecting! and Combat Patrol boxes can be browsed on the GW web store (www.games-workshop.com). The value of each Start Collecting! and Combat Patrol box ranges from £50 to £85 (or local currency equivalent) depending on the specific product.
5.3. Prizes are not transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered. Prizes cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.
5.4. Prizes are subject to availability and will be dispatched via GW’s standard shipping processes once they have been claimed.
5.5. If a Start Collecting! or Combat Patrol box is out of stock, a winner may wait until that item is back in stock or choose an alternative Start Collecting! or Combat Patrol box.
5.6. GW does not accept any responsibility if you are unable to take up the prize.
6.1. Winners will be announced on 19 th December 2020 at an awards event broadcast on Warhammer TV via Twitch (available at: https://www.twitch.tv/warhammer), and winners will also be announced online within an article on http://www.warhammer-community.com.
6.2. Winners will also be notified as soon as practicable before 19 th December 2020 via the email address they used when submitting their entry.
6.3. Entrants agree that GW can use their name and place of residence (in the format of Joe Bloggs from England) for advertising and promotional purposes and for the purposes of fulfilling legal obligations. If you do not wish your name and/or place of residence to be published or made available, or you wish to reduce the amount of information published or made available, please inform GW at the time you submit your entry via email.
6.4. Where any prizes are unclaimed after three months, the opportunity to win these prizes will be lost and the competition will be finished. In such a scenario, GW may at its discretion select an alternative winner in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
7. Ownership of Competition Entries and Intellectual Property Rights
7.1. GW does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.
7.2. You agree that GW may, but is not required to, make your entry available on any of its websites and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant GW a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. Insofar as permitted by law, GW, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of GW, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9.1. These rules are governed by the laws of England and any dispute relating to the promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Entry indicates acceptance of the rules as final and legally binding.
9.2. This promotion is void where prohibited by law.
10. Data Protection
10.1. Any personal data provided to us in connection with this competition will be held and processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice. We may also use that data for administration of, and communication in connection with, this competition. By submitting your personal information in connection with this competition you consent to the processing of your personal data as set out above and you confirm that the information is accurate and complete.
